Explanation of rides.

Non-members are always welcome on our rides and there is no charge to join a ride. However, after a trial period of three months, we will expect cyclists to join the Arun-Adur CTC if they wish to continue to ride with us. There are lots of benefits in becoming a member, primarily to obtain good insurance cover.
 
Each 'stage', i.e., Start to Elevenses, is around 1.5hours at an average speed is around 10 - 12mph with frequent stops, usually at the top of each hill! We do our best to keep to quiet country roads as much as possible.
 
If you can't make the start, join us at the elevenses or the lunch stop and ride as much as you like.
The Tuesday and Saturdays rides tend to be shorter and at an easier pace, ideal for beginners. The Sunday rides are longer and are for the more experienced and fitter cyclists.
 
Important: All riders should ensure that they are equipped with wet weather gear, that their machines are in good mechanical order and that they carry a tool kit, pump, and spare inner tube(s). Lighting should not be required as all rides are within the hours of daylight but in some cases it may be necessary, so lighting should be in good working order. It's a good idea to carry spare batteries too!
