Grid+ Primary Maths - RAINING

There are two full day inset sessions on 18th October at SAPC and on 19 th October at NEAPC which will give participants the opportunity to understand the contents of the CD-ROM, access materials on the CD, and plan some units of work using the plans on the CD. You will also see some good resources to use in teaching mathematics. Please book though the inset office.

 

Sharp Graphical Calculators

A look at a good, well-priced alternative - with some very good features. Affordable hand-held technology.

Fun with Maths Software

A range of software applications that can encourage interest and enthusiasm for maths - good for masterclasses, maths clubs, etc. Run by Danny Dryer, with an extra session at the end of the day for teachers.

RM NIMbUs

A look at the new range of software from RM.

"Ask The Family"

A fun competition for family groups in the Chichester Area, organised by Derek Robinson. Lets do some maths together!

Run by Ros Hyde, an organiser from the Maths Association. Ros will show teachers who wish to find out more about using calculators how to become more confident.

Problem-Solving, Key Stage One

Visit the school by arrangement to see Fiona Cartmell incorporate problem-solving into her maths teaching.

Visit the school during their Oasis problem-solving week. Jonathan Payne organises these weeks at the end of each half-term. They will be using grid+ RAINING materials.
