Better deal for cyclists

CYCLISTS in Worthing have formed the Worthing Cycle Campaign to get a better deal in the town.

It aims to work with the county and borough councils to offer advice on the facilities needed.

The campaign is already working with pedestrian groups, such as Worthing Access and Mobility, to ensure the conflict between cyclists and pedestrians is minimised.

Founder Anthony Cartmell said, 'Cycling has been a difficult issue in Worthing for many years.

'I hope that the Worthing Cycle Campaign will enable people to work together to improve conditions in the town for cyclists in the town without causing inconvenience to pedestrians.'

To join the campaign, send your name and contact details to WCC, 35 Ham Road, Worthing, BN11 2QU.

It would be appreciated if you could enclose a book of stamps to help with postage costs, but there is no membership fee.

The campaign's newsletter will keep you informed about all aspects of cyclists in Worthing.
